Operation Metal Hands has avoided extraction of 2.5 tons of Gold

The Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, announced that as part of the third part of Operation Paper Hands they managed to arrest 7 people for contraband and prevented the extraction of 2.5 tons of gold.

“We have started a third phase called Operation Metal Hands, this time to dismantle the bands that are dedicated to the smuggling of strategic metal and mineral extraction of the nation, specifically gold. This Operation Metal Hands began on Monday, June 4”,

During a press conference, the Vice President stressed that the bands had as their modus operandi the purchase of gold from small Bolívar miners to get it out of Venezuela and use it to try to impose a speculative criminal dollar rate.

He denounced that as part of the attempt to hit the economy, a plan has been designed to impose prices on crypto-currencies through some websites.

“It is a war designed, devised to hit the entire national economic system”, he said.
