CNE approved delivery of form to trigger a revoking referendum


The Commission on Political Participation and Financing (Copafi) will deliver the form for the activation of a Presidential revoking referendum, which was requested through mediation by the organization for political purposes “Democratic Unity Board” (MUD), as reported the National Electoral Council (CNE) on its website.
At a meeting held on Tuesday, the rector men and women agreed to instruct the Copafi in order that the form would be delivered with instructions for collecting the corresponding expressions of will.
During the session, officials reviewed the reports submitted by the national offices of Political Participation and Electoral Registry, to which belonged the verification of the requisites.
In this regard, they noted that were fulfilled the decision-making mechanisms established in the statutes of the MUD, as well as that a 94% of signatures submitted are valid.
Upon acceptance of the application, the interested parties should now gather the will of a 1% of those men and women enrolled in the Electoral Register nationwide, distributed by federal entity, for a total of 197,978 voting men and women.
