President Maduro: In 2021 will impose a dialogue to rebuild the AN

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized this Monday that in 2021 – after a new National Assembly (AN) is installed – will impose a dialogue between all the political sectors, in order to rebuild the Venezuelan Parliament, which for five years has remained in contempt due to the illegal actions of the right wing.

“They destroyed the National Assembly as a parliamentary power, and a dialogue will impose in 2021 to rebuild the National Assembly”, said the Venezuelan head of state from Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

During the ceremony for the 2020 National Journalism Award, the National President indicated that with the arrival of the right wing to the Legislative Power – after winning the 2015 parliamentary elections – the disowning of the Constitution imposed on the Parliament, and a dependance on the orders by the United States of America (USA).

“The time has come for change in the national legislative branch”, added the Venezuelan president.

In this sense, he trusts the national will of the Venezuelan people to participate in the parliamentary elections to elect the new members of the AN.

“I am sure that as soon as the National Electoral Council calls the dates, I am sure that the people of Venezuela will go out to vote for a new parliament, for a great change (…) and all the opposition political parties will register”, he stressed.

During the activity, President Nicolás Maduro pointed out that there are opposition parties, such as Acción Democrática, Primero Justicia, Soluciones para el Cambio, or Movimiento Al Socialismo; who have expressed their willingness to participate in the parliamentary elections.

«Venezuela is much bigger than Guaidó, much bigger. He does not represent a particle of what is the diversity of a country that wants peace, and that is going to conquer it”, he said.

Earlier, the authorities of the Electoral Power received the proposals of the political parties for the organization of the coming parliamentary elections, scheduled for this year.
