Maduro urges the opposition to register for Presidential elections

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged the opposition to register for the Presidential elections, with the aim of being ruled by the democratic game in the face of the 25th election in 19 years of the Revolution.

«I want the opposition to register its candidates for the Presidential election, I want to give all the guarantees for international observers to come to the elections. Thus I signed it in the Santo Domingo agreement that I signed today and I am going to fulfill the agreement because I am a man of my word, and I am a democrat. I know how to win and lose», he said.

Well, Ramos Allup, you have no excuse, the moment has come, Henry Ramos Allup, Henry Falcon, Claudio Fermin and all the opponents: Do register your candidacies. Let’s go to the streets and let the people vote and decide on their sovereignty and their will», he said.

The Head of State condemned the position of the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, on the presidential elections in Venezuela.

«That trash of Juan Manuel Santos will not come to say that he will not acknowledge the elections in Venezuela. Who is him to talk about Venezuela?, a garbage, an oligarch from Bogotá. Venezuela is to be respected, and we Venezuelans must make it to be respected, and so I want the opposition to fully register their candidates, and I am willing to collaborate beyond the beyond so that there are broad guarantees as always, and meet the consensus document that they did not wanted to sign because of a call made to Julio Borges from Bogotá», he said.

President Maduro affirmed that the sole owner of Venezuela and its future is its people, who has the power of the country thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution.

He denounced that the opposition has a «b» plan to sabotage the electoral process. «President Donald Trump has ordered them to withdraw from the electoral process, to not participate in the electoral process and try to sabotage it and call to abstain (…) if they have a «b» plan then we have a «c» plan, an «h» plan, a «z» plan, because here we will triumph, with them or without them», he said.
