The president of the dialogue delegation from the National Government, Jorge Rodríguez, stated that ultimatums from the United States (US) government will not be accepted in relation to the issue of unilateral coercive measures.
“We respect our word; We will never tolerate ultimatums. We have to see who fulfilled and who did not fulfill their word and commitment,” said Rodríguez.
At a press conference, Rodríguez detailed each of the agreements signed between the National Government and the United States government:
“The Dialogue Commission of the Bolivarian Government held meetings with a US delegation with the intention of lifting the sanctions,” he said.
In this regard, Rodríguez showed photographs and documents of the requests made by the US government to address different issues.
In this sense, he recalled that the talks began in May of last year in Doha, Qatar, after a request presented by the US to address issues «in energy matters, politics, diplomatic matters, and migration matters.»
The conversations – Rodríguez detailed – continued in Milan to conclude the talks in Mexico.
Likewise, Rodríguez showed the two documents, the two Understanding Memorandums signed between both countries, Venezuela and the United States, on September 28.
The points signed in said documents, explained the president of the National Assembly, were complied with by the National Government, however, they were not complied with by the United States.
