The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved this Wednesday the budget and operating expenses for 2018 of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
“Obviously it is an institution (BCV) subject to the sanctions there are against our country, which seek to block the monetary and exchange policy of Venezuela, it is a strategic target of the economic war”, said the Chairwoman of the ANC, Delcy Rodríguez .
The 2nd vice president of the ANC, Elvis Amoroso, said that the BCV is the one who designs, along with the National Executive, the country’s macroeconomic monetary policies and that has been attacked by domestic and foreign factors. He added that this constitutes a fundamental instrument for the economic reactivation of the country.
The budget was approved through a constituent decree.
