The United States Department of the Treasury (US) promotes the retention of resources of the Venezuelan State managed by compensation systems such as Euroclear, as reported on Sunday the Minister for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez.
Rodriguez explained that: “The Euroclear company, supposedly takes care of the bonds with which you buy food, medicines, etc …, and they have stolen the money, they do not pay the debt and they keep the money that is of Venezuela”.
The Head of the Communication and Information portfolio pointed out that the US has criminals and corrupt people in its territory who embezzled Venezuela. He also indicated that: “The US sanctions will worsen the lives of Venezuelans (…) Venezuela is being robbed”.
On the other hand, he stressed that the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, denounced the great scandal of corruption and embezzlement of the CITGO company, in which are involved the Venezuelan citizens José Ángel Pereira, Tomeu Vadell and Jorge Toledo to whom he qualified as thieves and swindlers.
The information was provided during their participation in the program “Los Domingos con Maduro” (Sundays with Maduro), which this week premiered a new format.
