The Chairwoman of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, reported on Thursday that the Municipal elections will be held on December 10.
Lucena indicated that the publication of the electoral registry will be made on November 7, therefore, the application process ends on Friday 3rd of the same month.
She also announced that the electoral campaign for the Municipal elections will be made from November 23 until December 7 at the midnight hour.
«Up to now, 9,249 applications have been registered in the system. Presented and taken care of in meetings 3,517, of which 852 are with the status of received, 2,534 are presented, 98 are admitted, 31 are rejected and 2 are not presented», she explained in a contact with Venezolana de Televisión.
She recalled that the registration in the automated application system expires this Thursday at midnight hour. Also, the presentation with the requested requests that all organizations with political purposes must present, have the opportunity until tomorrow without missing any.
She emphasized that the CNE «will continue to work intensively to guarantee, as always, high-quality elections in this electoral process.»
