The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led the closing of the World Congress of Antifascist Youth and Students, which took place in the Simón Bolívar Park in La Carlota, and supported the call for the Great World Antifascist Festival to be held in Venezuela on January 8, 9 and 10, 2025, where thousands of leaders, young people, workers and peasants from around the world will have the opportunity to accompany the Venezuelan people to the presidential inauguration before the National Assembly (AN):
“I support the idea of calling the Great World Antifascist Festival in Venezuela, so that thousands of leaders, young people, among others, come to accompany the people of Venezuela, when President Nicolás Maduro is sworn in before the National Assembly (AN) on January 10,” he stressed.
He also stressed that he agrees with the proposals that have been brought today: “It is the right time to articulate and soon give birth to the think tank of the youth and the Antifascist students of the world, based in Caracas, to feed today’s struggle”.
Likewise, he added that the thought of Commander Hugo Chávez has political and historical validity for the entire 21st century: “That is why Venezuela continues and will continue in the struggle for a multipolar world, without hegemonism, without interventionism, in a world where reigns the peace of the peoples and their independence.”
