Delcy Rodríguez: Criminal blockade is the true face of fascism

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during an event for the fourth anniversary of the Anti-Blockade Law, at the Teresa Carreño Theater, insisted that the blockade is the true face of fascism: «The economic blockades; through them are massively violated the human rights to food, health and education of the people.»

She indicated that «it is the countries around Washington that have this vision of dominating the world, of dominating it by suffering, by crime and destruction» and that is why she added that behind the blockade against Venezuela, the central objective of the empire is to take over the country’s natural resources.

In this regard, she stressed the importance of strategic alliances with sister countries such as Cuba, Russia, China and Iran, who face similar challenges, and assured that these relations are based on solidarity and mutual respect, to resist external aggression.

On the other hand, she stressed that the objective of the Anti-Blockade Law is to protect Venezuelan sovereignty, independence, self-determination «and there are very clear crimes contemplated in this law for those who dare to promote and advertise to harm Venezuela, who must be severely punished, there can be no forgiveness, justice must act with all the force that the Constitution confers on it, to pursue with justice these criminals who seek more suffering for the Venezuelan people and harm their economy.»

Liberator Simon Bolivar Law:

She also said that what the National Assembly (NA) has done is a strategic step in the defense of the country. «That is why the Liberator Simon Bolivar Anti-Imperialist Law for defense must have national support and there is no doubt about it, because if there is a consensus and it is the repudiation and rejection of the criminal block against Venezuela, it is also a repudiation of what these mechanisms mean to assault political power in the country, with the sole objective of benefiting transnational interests and never the interests of the people.»

She added that this law encompasses the feeling and spirit of what the people of Venezuela think: «That they should be punished and persecuted (fascists), that whoever promotes this type of practices in our country cannot be called a politician. There is no one who supports this barbarity, there are no one who supports these crimes as terrible and perverse as those that Venezuelan extremism plans.»

She recalled that 2020 was a very special year, as it revealed the criminal actions of some governments that «go against the people, that do not care about children, the elderly, women, and what can we say about them, if they murder the children of Palestine right and left in a live broadcast.»
