Head of State sympathizes with US after Las Vegas shooting

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressed this Monday his solidarity with the people of the United States, after the shooting that took place last Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada, in which 59 people died and more than 500 resulted wounded.

“I want to ratify the expressions of condolences and solidarity with the Government and people of the United States who were surprised by a criminal, murderer, terrorist attack in the population of Las Vegas”, said the Head of State after completing a day of work to attend the different regions of the country.

“All our solidarity, condolence, we repudiate the arms race, the violence, terrorism in all its forms”, he added.

The President said that it is necessary to build a new culture in the world, based on respect for peoples and against the expressions of violence that fuels terrorism.

The shooting that took place in Las Vegas occurred during a music festival. Police in that city reported that the alleged perpetrator of this incident was shot down and so far they do not believe that another person is involved.

Security forces are following the investigation to determine exactly the causes of this event.
