“The CIA and DEA have been conspiring from Miami and Colombia, together with opponents of the Venezuelan extreme right wing, to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro, Minister Vladimir Padrino López and Governor Freddy Bernal, among others, as well as to destabilize our country through violence, the terrorist assault on military units, in a long list of extremist atrocities,” he published on his social media account, @yvangil.
Attached to the message, the Venezuelan Chancellor published the video where the White House spokesman, John Kirby, attacked Venezuela for the actions of justice against terrorists who were trying to bathe the country in blood. The American spokesperson, when asked by journalists about the reasons for the suspect’s detention, simply replied: “I will not enter into speculation about what exactly happened.”
