The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved an agreement in support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces due to the continued siege by internal and external factors.
Constituent Carmen Melendez, responsible for presenting the agreement to the plenary, said that it is a historic event after the FANB suffered a terrorist attack on Sunday, August 6, at Fort Paramacay, located in Carabobo state.
She recalled that during the last four months Venezuelan military forces have been attacked and assaulted by irregular groups, as part of the strategy to promote political violence by opposition factors.
“Insults, wounds by bullet, by blunt objects, by homemade weapons, by several different weapons. We have 6 dead soldiers, more than 1300 injured in these four months”, she said during the session of the ANC held in the Elliptical Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace.
Meléndez said that there will be justice and that no one will be able to bend the will of the FANB, which she described as a bastion of honor.
“The union of the Constituent, the People and the FANB. Here we are the original power with our FANB, and we will be together forever, to conquer all the battles that may present to us”, she said.
The event was attended by the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, General in Chief Vladimir Padrino López, along with the military High Command.

The sovereign National Constituent Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, depositary of the Original Constituent Power, elected on July 30, 2017 by a free, universal, direct and secret ballot, convened by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, carried out by the Electoral Power and installed in Caracas on August 4, 2017 and in use of its constitutional powers.
Considering that the systematic actions against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela respond to the strategy by the United States of America to regain geopolitical domination and an offensive of recolonization of Latin America and the Caribbean. In an attempt to recover its global hegemonic loss.
Considering that the international front against our country, it is a large-scale geopolitical bloc, which acts as an instrument of transnational monopoly capital and its purpose is ignorance of the government, democratic institutions and the constitutional order of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Considering that on August 6, 2017 a terrorist attack was carried out, using mercenaries against the 41st Armored Brigade of the Bolivarian Army, located in the city of Valencia, Carabobo state, which was destined to attempt against the peace and institutional stability of our country.
Considering that this attack counted with the financing and support of the extreme Venezuelan right wing, in connection with foreign governments and that this action happens after the Venezuelan people elected the National Constituent Assembly, installed on Friday, August 4, 2017.
Considering that the sole election of the ANC allowed to end a period of violence orchestrated by internal and external factors that seek foreign intervention in Venezuela.
Considering that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces remain attached to its democratic convictions and supports the National Constituent Assembly as an expression of the absolute popular will of the Venezuelan people.
Is Agreed that:
1. We reject the unlawful and violent acts against the Venezuelan people and its institutions, directed by imperial centers, destined to violate our sovereignty and to undermine the social achievements achieved for the benefit of the majority of the nation, in order to intervene our country.
2. The massive attendance at the election of the National Constituent Assembly would not have been possible without the concurrence of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which stimulated the level of consciousness of the Venezuelan people, to the point of conjoining it epically to defeat violence and Fear, overcoming internal and external threats.
3. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces have contributed powerfully to the real truth being imposed over the media farces, the after-truth. It has contributed for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to continue as a world reference in the construction of a multi-polar and multi-center world.
4. We honor the historic phrase of Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías: “Love is paid with love”. We acknowledge to the FANB its loyalty, its patriotism, its fervor by the ideas of Simón Bolívar, and we offer with the best of our nobleness our full solidarity, reiterating that like them, we believe in the creative values of the People.
