“Somos Venezuela” movement is born to promote the social missions

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, swore on Sunday the “Somos Venezuela” (We are Venezuela) movement, which will serve to respond to the main demands of the people, especially the most vulnerable sectors, through the Carnet de la Patria (Homeland Card).

The National Leader reported that from June 15 to July 15 will be deployed more than 66,000 volunteers of this movement, in order to serve the 14,520,121 people registered within the Homeland Card.

He emphasized that this new system, which includes 24 missions and large missions, will allow us to continue to deepen the work of meeting the needs of the population, and urged volunteers to search for all those who are cared for in order to help them meet their personal, community and Family members.

“When I created the proposal of the Homeland Card, I wanted to come up with a modern, technological and advanced system, to articulate millions of men and women to make the Missions and Great Missions more efficient”, he said from the Poliedro de Caracas, where was held the swearing act.

He explained that the “Somos Venezuela” movement will be developed with two rings, the first one aimed at looking for the people, and the second will be responsible for the direct attention of the community.

The Social Missions of the Bolivarian Government have given greater opportunities to the population in health, housing, education, culture and other fronts.
