“Venezuela is irrevocably free and independent,” said the head of the Operational Strategic Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), Remigio Ceballos, saying that “in the vote lies the exercise of full sovereignty and that is what most valuable that a citizen can have anywhere in the world”.
Ceballos, during an interview in Venezolana de Televisión, pointed out that the electoral process of the upcoming December 9, when the members of the municipal councils will be elected, has all the security guarantees.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Ombudsman’s Office, the Supreme Court of Justice, CANTV, Corpoelec and the FANB will participate in the election on Sunday. Despite all the international pressures, it remains firm in its purpose of protecting the Venezuelan state, the people , its territory and the entire national establishment, as he said.
Regarding the implementation of the Republic Plan, he pointed out that temporary security zones were activated, in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Security Law, and the security of all military and strategic installations in the country was reinforced, in the event of any attempt of sabotage.
At the same time, intelligence work has increased to detect the presence of armed subversive groups that seek to alter the peace of the republic, added Ceballos, noting that they have control of all CNE and CANTV facilities.
The Commander of the Ceofanb invited the Venezuelans to exercise their constitutional right to vote, remembering that the institution he represents is respectful of human rights, so he will ensure the peace of the population on Sunday, December 9.
