Venezuela reactivated mixed commission with India to boost productive economy


The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Aristobulo Isturiz, said on Wednesday that Venezuela will reactivate the India – Venezuela Joint Commission, as part of the new geopolitics of comprehensive cooperation promoted by the Bolivarian Government, in order to consolidate the new productive economy of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.
After a meeting held on Tuesday morning with the Indian ambassador in Venezuela, Rahul Shrivastava, at the headquarters of the Executive Vice Presidency, Isturiz stressed on the willingness of India to cooperate with the development of the 14 economic engines of the Revolution.
He detailed that in the pharmaceutical sector, India has provided a great support to Venezuela and are being established in the country for the production of medicines, “India is working in our plants and that contributes very strongly to the substitution of imports “.
“With the help of India in the production of raw materials, we could go for the 30 million medicines that would be produced in the country”, he stressed.
Isturiz said that the presence of the Ambassador of India is part of the journeys prior to the work visit that will make the senior official to the BRICS countries, where will be reactivated the Venezuela – India Joint Commission, to monitor the development of new partnerships in economic matters of the items of the Plan 50 of the Bolivarian economic Agenda.
He recalled that the Tata Motors car company, one of the assemblers of cheaper cars in the world, was in Venezuela 7 years ago, and they envisioned the possibility of reinstalling the plant again in the country, as well as the development of production of spare parts for vehicles .
The Ambassador of India in Venezuela, Rahul Shrivastava, highlighted the good cooperation relations between the two countries, and stated that “this year is expected to reactivate the joint committee and also the visit of the Vice President in India, and for us to be able to participate in the 14 engines of the (Bolivarian) Revolution”.
He noted that “India is ready to participate in all sectors of cooperation, from agriculture, technology, information, automotive sector and especially in the production of medicines”.
