Tareck El Aissami is the new Executive Vice President of the Republic


President Nicolas Maduro appointed Tareck El Aissami on Wednesday as the new Executive Vice President as part of the changes within the executive team, necessary to push for a new process of strengthening of the Bolivarian Revolution for the years 2017-2018.

During an event led by the Head of State from the Mountain Headquarters in the 23 de Enero parish in Caracas to present the Agenda Carabobo 2017-2018, he stressed that the new Executive Vice President will have as its main task to strengthen the channels of communication of the People’s Power with the Government, with the aim of building solutions to the economic situation that have generated sectors of the right wing against the people.

“The fundamental issues of the country consulted the people to hear their qualitative and quantitative opinion, to guide the major issues of the economy, the bonds of trade, the struggle … against the mafias, against criminals,” said the President in a joint radio and television broadcast.

The President emphasized the work that Tareck El Aissami did while serving as Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace in matters of citizen safety.

“To work for the safety of the people, for peace, the fight against criminals … the fight to purify the regional and national police, the fight against terrorists of the extreme right wing.”
