National Government wil boost Local Economy Law in order to Link communal production with agro-industry

With the aim of optimizing food production and distribution processes across the country, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the upcoming submission to the Venezuelan Parliament of the Local Economy Bill, a legislative proposal designed to coordinate the nation’s various productive forces.

The new legal framework seeks to create effective linkages between the communal, community, and entrepreneurial economies and the large-scale agri-food industry, thereby consolidating an integrated system of national supply.

«To further refine this achievement, I announce that in the coming days I will present a new Local Economy Law to the Venezuelan Parliament. This law will enable the integration and productive linkage of the communal, community, and entrepreneurial economies with the large-scale agri-food industry for food production,» highlighted the President.

Moreover, the legislative initiative envisions the integration of all economic sectors to strengthen food sovereignty through productive linkages, the social and economic inclusion, as well as alimentary sovereignty.

The Head of State also highlighted the unifying nature of the project, issuing a broad call for collaborative effort: «Everyone, without exception, let’s contribute to this superior goal.»
