National government reduces exchange rate gap from nearly 30% to 12.3% in the last two months

In a significant advance towards economic stability, President Delcy Rodríguez announced that the exchange rate gap in Venezuela has narrowed from nearly 30% to 12.3% in the last two months, representing a major achievement in the macroeconomic stabilization policy of the National Executive.

The dignitary explained that this reduction is the result of measures implemented to strengthen the control of the economy, reduce speculation, and generate certainty in the foreign exchange market, which directly benefits consumers and domestic producers.

In this regard, she emphasized that these figures have a concrete impact on the lives of Venezuelans, as they allow them to better manage their expenses and make their income go further in a context of recovery.

Rodríguez highlighted that the reduction of the exchange rate gap has a multiplier effect on the economy, as it provides greater certainty for merchants to set their prices and for companies to plan their medium- and long-term investments.

«Behind that number is something very concrete: that a family can better organize its expenses and make its income more efficient, that a merchant can set its prices with greater certainty, and that a company can plan and invest,» stated the Head of State, emphasizing the importance of maintaining this course to consolidate the economic recovery.

The dignitary also referred to the need to make life easier for citizens by reducing bureaucracy and simplifying procedures, expanding digital services, and avoiding the duplication of documents.

In this same line, she mentioned that work is underway on a simpler, digital, and automated tax system, with transparency and respect for taxpayers, which will also contribute revenue to the social protection system.

«We want a State that solves problems, not one that complicates them,» sentenced Rodríguez, reaffirming his commitment to agile, efficient public management that serves the needs of the population.
