As part of the ongoing efforts to respond to the current emergency, the Government presented on Tuesday the official report on the operations of rescue, social assistance, and medical care deployed nationwide.
As a positive outcome of the humanitarian deployment, the state forces and support teams have achieved to provide direct assistance to 128,324 families. Likewise, a total of 6,462 people have been rescued alive thanks to the swift action of security and intervention forces.
In order to ensure the well-being of the affected population, 107 temporary camps have been enabled, where 23,122 people are currently being sheltered and provided with care, as part of the strategy to respond to the 17,265 affected individuals.
Logistics of supply and medical infrastructure have operated continuously. To date, 10,964.97 tons of food and 40,648,988 liters of drinking water have been distributed. In matters of health, medical teams have provided care to 39,567 patients.
These efforts are coordinated by a massive contingent on the ground comprised of 30,989 deployed officers, 31,745 volunteers, and valuable international cooperation from 2,278 foreign rescue workers.
Regarding the material impact, authorities report 856 damaged buildings and 190 collapsed structures. Likewise, monitoring agencies maintain a constant surveillance after recording a total of 1,405 aftershocks.
The number of injured rises to 16,740, and has been confirmed the tragic loss of 5,346 lives. The National Executive reiterates its commitment to keeping all resources activated for the phase of recovery and support to the Venezuelan families.
