In an address to the nation this Thursday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the National Executive will begin the valuation of non-essential state assets in order to make them available to the private initiative or for their restitution to their former owners, thus reaffirming the constitutional guarantees of the economic sector.
During her speech, she announced the explicit instruction to the relevant authorities to commence this process. “I have ordered the valuation of non-essential assets under hands of the State that could be offered to the private sector or returned to their former owners. This process is already underway,” she said.
The measure, as the Head of State noted, is framed within the dialogue and collaboration dynamics that the National Executive mainains with various productive sectors in order to boost the country’s economic activity and provide legal certainty for investments within the national territory.
