The Minister of People’s Power for Transportation, Francisco Garcés, announced that the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía (La Guaira state) has reached 50% of its operational capacity within a 35-day period, following the installation of temporary terminals.
The official noted that this progress was achieved through the joint efforts of national and international technical teams, enabling the recovery of the airport terminal as well as the national port system, which counts with all cranes at the Port of La Guaira.
He also reported that, in order to guarantee and optimize commercial dynamics in Venezuela, authorities shifted some port operations to Puerto Cabello, thus achieving a greater efficiency in the flow of goods.
