The President of the National Assembly, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, participated in the first high-level meeting with the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Anda Filip, held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The head of the Venezuelan parliament reminded that, at the previous General Assembly of the organization, was approved the admission of Venezuela as a full member.
“We have come to provide an update on the exceptional situation that Is being lived in Venezuela, regarding the progress that has had the development of a productive dialogue throughout the entire national territory, in the preservation of political rights for all, and the deepening of legal reforms necessary so the economy and society may heal from the polarization of the past,” he said.
