First Vice President of PSUV reports duties of search for victims continue in La Guaira

In the 576th issue of the «Con el Mazo Dando” (Hitting With The Hammer) program, the First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, provided an updated report on the operations of rescue and reconstruction nearly a month after the recent earthquakes that struck the country last June 24.

The leader emphasized that search efforts remain uninterrupted in areas of La Guaira state, with particular focus on the Tanaguarena sector. He explained that multidisciplinary teams have achieved to clear new layers of rubble to locate possible victims, a process in which heavy machinery is being used in a rigorous and coordinated manner with family members to accelerate the work without compromising the integrity of any findings.

In this regard, he made a direct appeal to families reporting missing children to go to the designated official agencies, in order to expedite the corresponding identification and return procedures.

Finally, Cabello rejected the opinion narratives spread by opposition sectors regarding the handling of the emergency, pointing out inconsistencies in the criticisms directed both at the use of machinery and at the relocation and land allocation plans for the affected families.
