U.S. diplomat Laura Dogu, an envoy from the Government of the U.S., was received this Saturday in Caracas by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil.
According to a message posted on his social networks, Gil reported that the U.S. representative arrives in Venezuela within the framework of the work agenda between the Venezuelan and U.S. Governments.
“An agenda aimed at establishing a work roadmap on issues of bilateral interest, as well as addressing and resolving existing differences through the path of diplomatic dialogue and on the basis of mutual respect and international law,” he explained on his Instagram account.
The U.S. Government appointed on January 22 diplomat Laura Dogu as Chargé d’Affaires of the Affairs Unit for Venezuela, which has its seat in Colombia.
