The Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, from the Supreme Court of Justice urged that Venezuela must become a country of movement for peace through justice.
«May justice brings a lasting peace to Venezuela, may it bring tranquility and stability. And may the victory of Venezuela be a lasting victory thanks to justice”, she manifested before those present at the Solemn Ceremony on the occasion of the Opening of Judicial Activities term for the year 2026 and the presentation of the Management Report corresponding for the year 2025 at the Supreme Court of Justice.
Making emphasis on Article 26 of the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela, which reads: «The State shall guarantee free, accessible, impartial, competent, transparent, autonomous, independent, responsible, equitable, and expeditious justice, without undue delays, without formalities or useless appeals for reversals”, the Acting President made this important announcement to ensure that this article is in effect in every sense and to the fullest extent of its wording.
She recalled that one of the purposes of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez, when coming into political power in Venezuela was «to tell a vast majority of the country, who had been excluded by political elites in our Homeland, that in here there must be equality, inclusion, equity, and social justice,» she detailed.
She closed her address with words from the Liberator Simón Bolívar: «Justice is the queen of the republican virtues, and with it are also sustained equality and liberty, which are the pillars of this edifice.» In this context, she asked from the highest court of justice in the country «for that justice becomes the queen of republican virtues and so that we can, through justice, guarantee the peace and the future of Venezuela as an independent, free, sovereign nation of peace,» she declared.
