Acting President Delcy Rodríguez ratifies bilateral cooperation agenda with the U.S. at the National Council of Economy

Within the framework of the National Council of Productive Economy, the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Dr. Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, ratified a bilateral cooperation agenda with the United States after holding a telephone conversation with President Donald Trump.

The Acting President emphasized that Venezuela is embracing this relationship without fear, reclaiming a historical relationship that dates back to the times of Simón Bolívar the Liberator, and reaffirmed the willingness to advance in a stage of mutual respect, overcoming the political misunderstandings of the past that affected the ties between both nations.

This new diplomatic and economic roadmap prioritizes cooperation in strategic sectors such as energy, trade, and finance, under a bilateral vision strictly aimed at the well-being of the Venezuelan people. Rodríguez explained that the goal is to normalize relations under conditions of balance and reciprocity, stressing that the aperture towards international markets is a natural step for a country with a leading role in global energy security.
