Canciller Oliver Blanco reitera disposición al diálogo con EE. UU.

Chancellor Oliver Blanco reaffirms Venezuela’s will to dialogue with the U.S.

The Chancellor of the Republic, Oliver Blanco, reaffirmed on Friday Venezuela’s commitment to dialogue and cooperation with the United States (U.S.) for the benefit of both nations.

The statement, posted on his account on the X social media platform, was made during a meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, John Barrett.

“It was a pleasure to welcome the United States Chargé d’Affaires, John Barrett, for a cordial and constructive meeting. I appreciate his kind words and good wishes. We reaffirm our commitment to continue strengthening, under the leadership of Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, the dialogue and bilateral cooperation for the benefit of our countries,” expressed Blanco on the social network.

On Thursday, upon his appointment as Foreign Minister, Blanco pledged to pave the way through a form of diplomacy that yields “concrete results,” promotes “respectful dialogue,” and that generates new opportunities for investment and the development of the country, as reports Unión Radio.

Prior to his appointment as Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Blanco served as Deputy Minister for Europe and North America, succeeding Félix Plasencia, who was appointed as Chancellor last July and will now serve as the Director of International Affairs for the Presidency, where he will be tasked with recovering the Venezuelan gold held by the Bank of England.
