Venezuela and the U.S. evaluate strengthening of trade and economic relations

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Félix Plasencia, held a work meeting with U.S. Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary David L. Fogel with the purpose of assessing growth opportunities in the bilateral trade and economic relationship, acting on direct instructions from President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez.

Through his social media, the Venezuelan diplomat reaffirmed the Bolivarian Government’s willingness to deepen and diversify trade relations with the North American nation, based on a framework of complementarity and mutual benefit for both economies.

«We reiterated to Deputy Secretary Fogel the willingness of Venezuela to deepen economic and trade ties with the United States, in line with the historic proposal for a relationship based on exchange and complementarity between the two countries,» detailed Plasencia.

The meeting is framed in the diplomatic agenda of the Venezuelan Chancellory to consolidate strategic alliances and impulse the boost of the national economy.
