The Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence expressed its public support for the request submitted to the National Assembly by the Acting President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, regarding the partial reform of the Constitutional Law Against Hatred, for Peaceful Coexistence and Tolerance.
The initiative contemplates to advance in decriminalizing certain behaviors currently covered by the law, an action qualified by the organization as significant for transforming the criminal justice system and fostering safe spaces for debate centered on respect for human dignity.

COMMUNIQUÉ:
“From the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence we accompany the request by the President (in charge) of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez Gömez, directed towards the National Assembly, for the partial reform of the Constitutional Law against Hatred, for Pacific Coexistence and Tolerance.
The decision to advance in the decriminalization of the behaviors covered in this normative instrument represents an important and necessary step towards the transformation of the Criminal Justice System in Venezuela.
This reform opens a real space for safe debate, giving priority to thr respect for human dignity.
We continue giving firm steps towards Peace and the Democratic Coexistence.”
