The Bolivarian Government ratified the value of air connectivity as a strategic pillar for productive development and the attraction of foreign investment. Following the opening of the Temporary Landing Terminal at the Maiquetía International Airport, President Delcy Rodríguez emphasized that these works solidify tourism as a fundamental engine of the country’s economy.
During the protocol act, President Delcy Rodríguez linked airport modernization to the nation’s economic reactivation and integration into global markets: «Interconnectivity is precisely to enable that international mobility, to attract investors, to promote tourism, to give a significant boost to tourism, which is an engine of the national economy,» Rodríguez stated while outlining the scope of the new contingency facilities.
This modular structure of free civilian transit mitigates the damage caused by the seismic event of last June to the original building. With this institutional step, the National Government prioritizes the reactivation of transport services in order to stimulate the internal financial apparatus under strict criteria of sovereignty and international cooperation.
Finally, the National Executive framed this infrastructure project within a foreign policy aimed at showcasing the nation’s strengths to the international community. In her closing remarks, President Delcy Rodríguez specified the diplomatic objective of this aviation management: «For Venezuela to be known worldwide and for our message to reach all peoples.»
