Public Ministry meets with the UN regarding Criminal Justice Reform

As part of the National Consultation on Criminal Justice Reform, the Public Ministry held a work session with agencies, funds, and programs of the United Nations (UN) in order to gather input, experiences, and technical recommendations on the matter.

Cooperation with the international body is essential for designing a criminal justice policy aligned with international standards regarding human rights, due process, and timely access to justice.

During the meeting, officials expressed their recognition for the UN’s willingness to provide technical assistance and support the subsequent implementation of the roadmap resulting from this national consultation.

The transformation of the criminal justice system constitutes a collective task that advances through dialogue, inter-institutional cooperation, and a commitment to citizens’ rights.
