The national government announced the imminent signing of an international agreement that will allow the country to use advanced bionic technology for the integral care of the population:
«We are about to sign this agreement, which will bring bionic technology to Venezuela for limb recovery, first on an initial phase for upper limbs, followed by lower limbs,» stated the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the reopening of the «Prof. Lenín Molina Peñaloza» Orthotics and Prosthetics Laboratory.
This international cooperation project includes a partnership with the Japanese company Kawaeek. The collaboration aims to strengthen the scientific development of the National Public Health System (SPNS) and, consequently, improve care for individuals who lost limbs due to the recent seismic doublet.
«We envision partnerships with this Japanese company, Kawaeek, alliances that will enable that transfer of technology and knowledge,» the leader explained.
By implementing this scheme by phases, the national government strengthens the national medical infrastructure and incorporates cutting-edge innovation to enhance the quality of life and autonomy of patients undergoing rehabilitation.
