A Venezuelan delegation led by the Minister of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao, is participating in the G20 Ministerial Meeting on Energy Abundance, held in Houston, United States, through September 16.
The national delegation includes the Minister of People’s Power for Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries, Héctor Silva; the Executive Vice President of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Jovanny Martínez; the Deputy Minister for Gas, Cindy Rondón; and the Deputy Minister for Petrochemicals and Refining, Carlos Canelón.
«Venezuela attends this forum with the strength of possessing the largest proven crude oil reserves on the planet and a world-class gas potential,» reported Minister Henao through the Instagram social network.
Likewise, she highlighted that the technical agenda seeks to «reaffirm our nation’s determining role in the global energy equation,» under the guidelines of the national executive branch.
As part of their participation in the multilateral forum, Venezuelan authorities held a private meeting with U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, in addition to meetings with energy sector representatives and business leaders.
