President Delcy Rodríguez congratulates Brazil on the 204th anniversary of its Independence

Through a Communiqué, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, extends her warmest greetings to the Federative Republic of Brazil on the occasion of the 204th anniversary of its Independence, and conveys her sincerest congratulations to the Brazilian people and their Government.

Following, the full Communiqué:

“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez Gömez, extends a greeting of affection to the Federative Republic of Brazil o the occasion of the 204th anniversary of its Independence, and conveys to the brotherly Brazilian people and its Government her most sincere congratulations.

On this date of a profound historic meaning, Venezuela accompanies Brazil in the commemoration of the “Cry of Ipiranga” of 1822, an affirmation of its National Sovereignty and the start of its Independence process, an event of a transcending importance in the history of the Americas and the independentist feat of our peoples.

The People and the Government of Venezuela ratify the firm will to keep deepening the historic links of friendship, cooperation, solidarity and understanding that join our nations, on the base of shared conviction to construct a relation of good neighborhood, characterized by the mutual respect, the beneficial exchange and the promotion of integral development and the well-being of our peoples”.
