The Maiquetía International Airport Institute (IAIM) published a list of answers to frequently asked questions so that users can learn the details about the resumption of operations at its temporary facilities. This reopening officially marks the reactivation of domestic and international flights starting September 1st.
During logistical coordination, the airport established that passengers should arrive two hours in advance for domestic flights and three hours in advance for international flights. Likewise, the authorities recommend using web check-in with airlines that offer this digital option.
In this regard, the institute clarifies that passengers on both domestic and international flights will enter through the same access ramp and that baggage regulations remain unchanged. Furthermore, the institution specifies that the designated parking area is located on the upper level of the international terminal, next to the Gran Cacique Hotel.
The National Government also explained that the temporary structure has specific areas to ensure a constant flow of users. The departure areas can accommodate 720 people in the international sector and 480 in the domestic sector, while the arrival areas have capacity for 496 international and 472 domestic travelers.
