The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) reported this Tuesday that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 7.14% in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, which represents that the National Economy accumulates 21 consecutive quarters of growth in its activity level.
Oil activity registered a 9.10% increase during the second quarter. Meanwhile, the non-oil sector showed a 5.79% increase, driven by the sale of foreign currency allocated to domestic production and by the interaction between the different economic areas.
The report highlights the continuity of the process of productive diversification and the strengthening of export capacity within the national economy system.
