Second day of the National Dialogue process was held this Friday

The second day of the Dialogue Process between the National Government and a group of former opposition members of the 2015-2020 National Assembly was held this Friday at the Meliá Caracas Hotel.

Just as they declared last Thursday through a communiqué, this new dialogue board will remain in permanent session until next Wednesday, August 12.

It is worth recalling that in that communiqué, released by the President of the Legislative Branch and coordinator of the National Dialogue, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez (PSUV/National), it was reported that the parties signed the principles of respect for sovereignty and good-faith negotiation.

They also committed to seeking benefits for the country, as well as to finding a political, peaceful, democratic, and constitutional solution, equal treatment, verification of agreements, and the guarantee of human and political rights.

It is also worth noting that the delegation by the National Government includes the Minister of University Education, Ana María San Juan; the Vice Minister of University Education for Student Well-being and the University Community, Génesis Garvett; the First Vice President of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante (PSUV/Miranda); and parliamentarians Jorge Arreaza (PSUV/National) and América Pérez (PSUV/Nueva Esparta).

Meanwhile, the delegation of former representatives, under the coordination of Dinorah Figuera, consists of Marco Aurelio Quiñones, Ramón López, Jorge Millán, Juan Miguel Matheus, and Sergio Vergara.
