BCV and IMF seek to strengthen competencies in monetary and exchange policies

Authorities from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held a meeting focused on monetary and exchange rate policy and technical assistance to strengthen the expertise of the technical team in matters of central banking.

The meetings are happening within the context of the visit of the multilateral organization to Venezuela, with the objective of addressing these three fundamental pillars for consolidating the country’s macroeconomic stabilization process, according to a press release from the BCV.

Recently, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund in order to assess the macroeconomic outlook and the priorities of economic policy.

Were also examined the areas of technical assistance aimed at strengthening institutional capacities and the use of international reserves to finance the Venezuela Renace (Venezuela Reborn) Plan, for the country’s recovery following the earthquakes of June 24.
