Caracas, Venezuela – During the swearing-in ceremony for the new members of the Joint Major Staff, the component leaders, and the heads of the Strategic Regions of Integral Defense (REDI), Commander-in-Chief and President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified the appointments to guarantee the defense of the country.
The formal ceremony included the transfer of command and the presentation of the symbols corresponding to the new organizational structure of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
“In my capacity as Commander-in-Chief, I have appointed these officers, generals, and admirals, who from today will occupy the highest positions for the integral defense of the nation,” she said while presenting the corresponding resolutions.
By formalizing the act of subordination and institutional commitment of the authorities, the Head of State framed their duties within the constitutional functions of the institution:
“I ask you to go with this baton of command to the service of the people of Venezuela. You are hereby invested with a task as high and as sublime as are the interests of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” she affirmed.
For their part, the sworn-in officers reaffirmed their commitment to the Constitution and their adherence to military discipline in the performance of their new responsibilities.
