Venezuela presents balance one month after the double earthquake

The Venezuelan Government released this July 24th the consolidated official report following the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that struck the north-central region of the country last June 24.

Official figures: 5,546 deceased, 16,740 injured, 6,462 rescued, and 128,324 families assisted.

107 temporary camps remain active housing 23,811 people, while are being accounted a total of 17,907 people affected, 856 buildings with damages and 190 collapsed buildings.

There have been distributed 10,977 tons of food and 51.2 million liters of drinking water. 1,500 aftershocks have been registered.

At the operation are participating 30,989 officers, 31,745 volunteers and 2,278 international rescuers.
