The President of the General Staff for the Creation of Temporary Camps, Jorge Rodríguez, presented this Monday, via his social media, the latest official report with the balance of the actions of attention, rescue, and logistical actions deployed throughout the country in response to the emergency.
According to the official information, integral efforts have allowed to provide direct assistance to 128,324 families. In order to ensure the temporary shelter of the affected population, are operational 107 temporary camps, which are housing 23,587 people.
In matters of food sovereignty and basic services, authorities reported the dispatch and logistical delivery of 10,964.97 tons of food and a total of 37,885,128 liters of water. In the health scope, medical teams have registered a total of 41,069 patients receiving timely care.
The in-field operation counts with the mobilization of 30,989 deployed personnel, in addition to the support of 31,745 volunteers and 2,278 international rescuers, who have achieved the successful rescue of 6,462 people.
Regarding the evaluation of infrastructure and seismology, technical reports record a total of 1,405 aftershocks, as well as a tally of material damage that puts the figure at 856 affected and 190 collapsed buildings.
Finally, the authorities provided the consolidated balance of the human impact recorded to date: 17,907 people left homeless, 16,740 injured, and 5,278 deceased.
