4,000 housings will be delivered this year to earthquake victims

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that «From now, July, until December, we will be delivering 4,000 housings» to families who resulted victims of the two earthquakes of last June 24.

In a moving ceremony with the families who resulted homeless in La Guaira state, where were favored more than 240 families who received «a fully equipped home» as part of the immediate response to the damages caused by the recent earthquakes, the Head of State inspected the conditions of the new units, emphasizing the humanitarian and priority nature of the National Government’s intervention in order to restore the right to a decent roof.

The National Dignitary explained that the upcoming deliveries will be made in a progressive manner and with complete furnishings to ensure the full habitability of the homes. This integral plan includes social assistance and basic services to facilitate the swift recovery of the affected communities.

Rodríguez highlighted that the General Staff, along with the Presidential Commission, is focused on reviewing the soil conditions for the construction of new housings that will give answers to the needs arising from the double earthquake of June 24.
