President Nicolás Maduro through his channel on Telegram issued a message to the Venezuelan people on the occasion of the 215th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a call for love for the homeland to translate into unity, reconstruction, and the common good.
The date of July 5th represents the discovery of the path to dignity, equality, and freedom for the nation. Faced with the difficult times the country is experiencing, the Head of State renewed his certainty that Venezuela will overcome the difficulties.
The president linked the overcoming of the crisis to prayer, action, and national unity. He also highlighted the enduring solidarity of the world’s peoples as a fundamental pillar for Venezuela to be reborn with a renewed splendor.
Maduro and his wife Cilia raised a prayer for peace, unity, and the well-being of all Venezuelans on this commemoration. The request was based on the moral and spiritual power of the citizenry and on absolute faith in the Father Creator.
The President expressed his gratitude for the people’s unwavering support. He defined love for Venezuela as a concrete action expressed through faith, solidarity, peace, and reconstruction, and rejected the notion that such sentiment should remain merely in words.
