The President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, made this Tuesday an aerial tour and ground inspection of La Guaira state in order to assess the extent of material damage to residential areas and infrastructure following the double earthquake registered last June 24.
The overflight covered the state’s coastline, with the aim of coordinating and optimizing the deployment of integral assistance to affected families while the relevant agencies continue the duties of search, rescue, and salvage.
The agenda included the arrival of the authorities at Sector A of the Los Caracas Vacation City, a space selected for the immediate logistical deployment and the shelter of citizens who lost their homes, where families from various parts of the state are currently being housed.
At this temporary camp, youth groups and volunteers have organized themselves to provide personalized support in comfortable spaces, properly equipped with appliances and optimal sanitary facilities to offer peace of mind to those affected.
Through a joint effort of the entire Social Protection System, the Bolivarian Government guarantees on-site an integral care that covers a constant supply of food and ongoing medical assistance at a modernized local health center designed to provide prompt care.
