National Government agrees on plan to recover 5,000 megawatts with General Electric Vernova

During the signing of an Understanding Memorandum with General Electric Vernova, the President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the action plan with the multinational company includes ambitious goals divided into phases:

«These works will allow us to recover, in the first 24 months, 1,000 megawatts and, in total over four years more than 5,000 megawatts, which are essential for national life, for every Venezuelan home, for our industrial base of our country, but mainly for the life of the Nation,» explained the Head of State in Charge.

In consequence, Rodríguez instructed the technical teams to expedite the corresponding process to transform this memorandum into concrete actions as soon as possible.

Likewise, she manifested that this joint effort seeks to implement cutting-edge technologies to stabilize and optimize electricity generation, prioritizing the strengthening of energy infrastructure as a cross-cutting axis for the nation’s economic development and social well-being.
