President in Charge welcomes Secretary General of the Italo-Latin American Organization at Miraflores Palace

This Thursday, the President in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a work meeting with the Secretary General of the International Italo-Latin American Organization (IILA), Giorgio Silli, with the firm objective of strengthening ties of mutual cooperation.

The reception of the Secretary General of the Italo-Latin American Organization was held at Miraflores Palace in order to review the shared agenda on international cooperation, economic development, energy transition, and diplomatic relations between Venezuela, Italy, and the intergovernmental organization.

During the exchange, the officials discussed the potential for development in strategic projects, the evaluation of joint initiatives in different areas, technical training, and the institutional strengthening that the organization actively promotes in the Latin American region.

In this vein, it is worth mentioning that Ana Cecilia Bonilla Taviani, Counselor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, was present during the event.

On behalf of the Venezuelan delegation, the Dignitary ni Charge was accompanied by Jannier Viloria, Vice President of the Gas sector of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA); Oliver Blanco, Vice Minister for Europe and North America at the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs; María Elena Uzzo, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Italian Republic; among other officials.
