Head of State in Charge pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi

President in Charge Delcy Rodríguez led a solemn ceremony at the Raj Ghat Memorial in New Delhi to pay tribute to the pacifist leader Mahatma Gandhi. The event is part of her work agenda in the capital of India.

During the tribute, the Mandatary in Charge laid a floral offering at this sacred site, where the remains of the hero of Indian independence rest.

It is worth noting that Rodríguez maintains a work agenda in India aimed at strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation in various strategic areas for the benefit of the Venezuelan people’s development.

During her stay in the Asian country, she met with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at his official residence at Hyderabad House, in New Delhi. The meeting focused on strengthening the role of both nations in the geopolitical context of the Global South and on boosting mutually beneficial macroeconomic agreements.
