After attending the Solemn Session of Opening of the Judiciary Term for 2026, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, announced the Parliament is ready to immediately process the request by Acting President Delcy Rodríguez regarding the creation of a General Amnesty Law.
Rodríguez reported that the Legislative Branch will begin the technical and political work once the Commission for the Judicial Revolution formally presents the law project. This initiative is part of a joint effort by the institutions of the State to strengthen the climate of stability and coexistence in the country.
The parliamentarian emphasized that this action is a sign of the unwavering commitment of the Public Powers to the tranquility of the Venezuelan people: «We are aligned as a single bloc to guarantee that justice is the definitive path to peace,» he stressed after the event at the seat of the Supreme Court of Justice.
