PSUV ratifies first National Popular Consultation for March 8, 2026

The General Secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, ratified that the first National Popular Consultation of 2026 will be held next March 8 throughout the national territory. This announcement reaffirms the established citizen participation schedule.

Cabello emphasized that this process is part of the mechanisms of participatory and protagonist democracy contemplated in the Venezuelan legal order. Through this consultation, the people will directly exercise its right to decide on priorities and projects that impact the development of their communities.

The leader stressed that the consultation will be carried out with the support of the relevant institutions, guaranteeing broad, organized, and transparent participation. It is expected a massive participation from communities, communal councils, and social organizations across the country.

The convening for March 8 reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Government and the PSUV to the strengthening of the People’s Power. This mechanism seeks to consolidate spaces for citizen participation in national decision-making, according to the political vision of the official party.

This will be the first popular consultation of 2026 and represents an exercise in direct democracy that allows citizens to pronounce on issues of national interest.
